Zona Sue Kirby

Funeral services for Mrs. Zona Sue Kirby, 76, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 - 9 P.M., and on Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Kirby passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at Masters Health Care Center in Algood, TN. She was born July 11, 1930, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Norman Etheridge and Avo Smith Etheridge. She was a factory worker, and a member of the Red Boiling Springs Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Ralph Etheridge; and 1 Sister: Ann Overstreet. Survivors include 1 Son and Daughter-in-law: Alan Lee (Marlene) Carver of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter and Son-in- law: Gail (Dale) Cole of Cookeville, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Amy Glass of Dickson, TN and Thomas Carver of Cookeville, TN; 1 Step-grandson: John William (Crystal) Payant of Cookeville, TN; 2 Step Great-grandsons: Devon and Dylan Payant; and 1 Brother and sister-in-law: Billy Joe (Linda) Etheridge of Uniontown, Ohio. .
