Zelma Mae Phillips

Funeral services for Mrs. Zelma Mae Phillips 86, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Old Antioch Cemetery in the Old Antioch community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 P.M. - 8 P.M., and on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at her daughter's residence in Gainesboro, TN. She was born May 18, 1931, to the late George and Maggie Waddell Scantland. On July 18, 1948 she was married to the late William Odell "Boots" Phillips, who passed away on April 27, 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of the Burristown Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Jimmy, Johnny, Ed, Charles, and Billy B. Scantland and 2 Sisters: Frances Trisdale and Mattie Scantland. Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Cathy Phillips of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandsons: Scottie Pennington of Gainesboro, TN and Jamie (Jennifer) Pennington of Springfield, TN; 4 Great-Grandchildren: Corey Pennington, Reese, Katie, and Allye Pennington; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren and 1 Brother: Bobby Scantland of Warren, Michigan.
