Wonda C. Shrum

Wonda Shrum was born on June 28, 1953, in Davidson County, TN and passed away at her residence on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the age of 72.

Wonda was the daughter of Jimmy Leon Stafford and Maggie Eliza Brown Stafford. Wonda married Douglas Shrum on August 16, 1992. They were married 32 years. She was a very caring and nurturing woman. She was happiest when cooking for her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Wonda was the rock of the family and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was of Jehovah Witness faith. She worked in the nursing field for the majority of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Todd Kidder; brothers: Eugene, Doug, Jimmy, Ralph, James, and Bill John; sisters: Helen Keith, Estel Creasey, and Margaret Raider.

She was survived by her spouse: Douglas Shrum; sons John (Jenny) Andrews of Gainesboro, TN, William Andrews of Cookeville, TN, and Garry Hesson of Bowling Green, KY; daughters: Tasha Short of White Bluff, TN, Traci (Jason) Brown of Baxter, TN, Candy Shrum of Gallatin, TN; grandchildren: Payton, Cody, Alex, Cadice, Sarah, Rachel, Maykala, Carson, Anthony, Shanna, Desiree, Amber, Ana, Tamala, Jessica, Tyler, Tykandise, Erica, Aris, Ciera, and Gale; Daughter-In-Law: Jessica Lyle. Wonda had 30 great grandchildren.

Wonda chose cremation and the family is honoring her wishes. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date and will be announced once scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to assist with funeral expenses by contacting the business office at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
