Funeral services for Mr. Winfred D. Flatt, 87, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at his residence. He was born May 14, 1926, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Harvey Flatt and Lura Stout Flatt. He was married to the late Betty Ann Dennis Flatt, who passed away November 1, 1988. He worked at Heavy Duty Manufacturing Co., and was a member of the Flynns Creek Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Garner C. Flatt, James Flatt, and Bernice Flatt; and 2 Sisters: Edna Brown and Mayzell Flatt Mayberry. Survivors include 1 Son: Alton Flatt of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Melissa Law, Stephanie Reecer, and Chris (Korynn) Flatt, all of Gainesboro, TN; 8 Great Grandchildren: Cody Jones, Adam Jones, Lucas Reeder, Olivia Law, Tyler (Cadey) West, Taylor West, Jessa Flatt, and Hunter Ellis; 1 Great Great Grandchild: Camden Ferguson; 1 Brother: Ernest Flatt of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Bunie (Ray) Stafford of Gainesboro, TN.
