Willie Kernell Biggs

Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Mai Kernell Biggs, 79, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Cubb Creek Cemetery in the Cubb Creek community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 A.M. - 6 P.M., and on Saturday from 10 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Biggs passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born March 14, 1929, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Hubert Kernell and Hazel Wolfe Kernell. She was a restaurant and factory worker, and a member of the Cubb Creek Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sons: Ronnie Hackett and Bobby Minchey; 1 Daughter: Carol Jones; and 2 Brothers: Ray Kernell and Robert Kernell. Survivors include 1 Son: David Minchey of Old Hickory, TN; 1 Sister: Margie (W.R.) Overstreet of Nashville, TN; 13 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; and 2 Step- Grandchildren. Bro.
