Willie Howard Harris

Willie Howard Harris, 76, of Voss, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at his residence.

He was born on Tuesday, December 3, 1946, to Jesse and Clio Cynthia (Barnes) Harris, in Jackson County, Tennessee. Willie married Thresa Jarrell on July 27, 2001, in Odessa. He moved to Texas and worked as a Pipeline Superintendent before retiring and moving to Voss in 2014. Willie never met a stranger; he enjoyed fishing, farming, friends, and most importantly, his family

Willie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thresa; daughter, Norma Jean Harris; great-granddaughter Shiloh Faye Hernandez; sister, Dimple Stout Hawkins; brothers Roger Dale Harris, and Billy Lewis Harris.

He is survived by daughters, Shirley Drugan and husband Bob, Shelia Rose and husband Don, Lori Creekmore, and Kristy Hester; son, James Miller and wife Jesica; grandchildren, Jerry Harris, James Harris, Kasey Hernandez, Sterlin Rose, Clayton Drugan, Jeremy Drugan, Kerry Woodard, Brett Miller, Hunter Miller; sisters Frances Johnson, Margaret Dockery, Vicki Maynard, Cynthia Ogletree, and brother Roy Harris; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends whom he called family as well.

The family has chosen cremation, with graveside services and interment to be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Curry’s Chapel Cemetery on Shepardsville Hwy. in Bloomington Springs, TN. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
