Willie Chaffin Gentry

Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Pearl Chaffin Gentry, 97, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Morrison Creek Cemetery in the Morrison Creek community. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 11 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Gentry passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2008, at NHC Health Care in Cookeville, TN. She was born April 24, 1911, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Darvis and Ova Loftis Chaffin. On December 22, 1928, she was married to the late Ray Gentry. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Evelyn Joy Flatt; 6 Brothers: Eugene, Fred, Comer, Venus, Zollie H. and Carsey Chaffin; 4 Sisters: Myrtle West, Eunice West, A.V. Gentry, and Gennette Loftis; and 1 Son-in-law: Charles Flatt. Survivors include 2 Daughters and 1 Son-in-Law: Katrina Flatt of Cookeville, TN, and Floy and Don Roark of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Brothers: Thurman Chaffin of Blairsville, GA; and Hugh Chaffin of Lewisburg, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Michael Flatt, Tena Mayberry, Dennis Flatt, Steve Flatt, Jerry Roark, and Marsha Harper; and 13 Great Grandchildren.
