Willie "Bill" Stafford

Funeral services for Mr. Willie E. "Bill" Stafford, 96, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Stafford passed away on Friday, July 31, 2009, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. He was born December 12, 1912, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Andrew and Emily Trisdale Stafford. On August 1, 1942, he was married to the late Olene Boles Stafford, who passed away January 24, 2004. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Pat Rector; 1 Grandson: Randall Richardson; and 3 Brothers: Winters, Aaron, and Alvis Stafford. Survivors include 1 Son: Dan Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Ruby (Kenneth) Richardson of Gainesboro, TN, Joann Williams of Gainesboro, TN, and Faye Stafford of Cookeville, TN; 1 Brother: Jimmy (Bobbie) Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons-in-Law: Steve Rector of Cookeville, TN, and Bobby Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sisters-in-Law: Elise Stafford of Gainesboro, TN, and Elna Trisdale of Red Boiling Springs, TN; 8 Grandchildren; 11 Great- Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.
