William Sidney Spivey

Funeral services for Mr. William Sidney Spivey, 80, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 Noon until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. He was born March 14, 1935, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Channie B. Spivey and Louella Hix Spivey. He was a truck driver, and served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Edna Whitaker and Willodean Lawson. Survivors include 1 Son: Ricky Spivey; 1 Daughter: Melissa Spivey; 1 Brother: John D. (Helen) Spivey of Nashville, TN; and 2 Sisters: Marie Betancourt of Gallatin, TN, and Robbie Upchurch of Nashville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro.
