William Nathan Pharris

Funeral services for Mr. William N. Pharris, 90, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at the Chestnut Ridge Rehab and Nursing Center i n Cumming, Georgia. He was born December 16, 1922, in Jackson County, TN, to the late S.P. and Nancy Gilpatrick Pharris. On March 24, 1951, he was married to the late Frances Marie Pharris, who passed away on September 15, 2009. He was a farmer and was a member of the New Salem Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Elizabeth Brown; and 3 Brothers: Frank, Fred, and Freeman Pharris. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Barbara and husband, Mike Waynick of Old Hickory, TN and Ann and husband, Tom Copeland of Suwannee, Georgia; 1 Grandson: Scott Mainord of Old Hickory, TN and 1 Great-Grandson: Jason Mainord.
