Funeral services for Mr. William Loyd Walker, 86, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery in the Flynns Lick Community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN. He was born April 26, 1930, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Bill and Mae Walker. On November 17, 1967, he was married to Lois Ragland Walker, who survives. He was a furniture factory manager, and with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: William Loyd Walker, Jr.; 1 Daughter: Sandra Scantland; and 3 Brothers: Kenneth, Harlin, and James Walker. Survivors include his Wife: Lois Ragland Walker of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Danny (Stephanie) Strickland of Hartsville, TN, and Loyd R. Walker of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Teresa Craighead of Whitleyville, TN, and Linda Jackson of Gainesboro, TN; 10 Grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Ronald Strong will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Richmond Cemetery or the Allen Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
