William Earl Jones

Funeral services for Mr. William Earl Jones, 75, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3:30 P.M. until 9 P.M., and on Tuesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at his residence. He was born May 27, 1935, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Willie Andrew Jones and Mamie Stafford Jones. On December 14, 1957, he was married to Bonnie R. Jones, who survives. He was a retired self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ, and a former elder at the Richmond Chapel Church of Christ. He was a former Jackson County commissioner, and served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: I.B. Jones and Artie Lee Jones; and 1 Sister: Peggy Helen Jones. Survivors include his Wife: Bonnie R. Jones of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Donna (Robert) Crabtree of Cookeville, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Heather (Jonathan) Conner of Cookeville, TN, Josh (Ashley) Crabtree of Whitleyville, TN, and Elizabeth (Chris) Mabery of Gainesboro, TN; 7 Great Grandchildren: Bryce, Jackson, and Ella Conner; Tucker and Gunner Crabtree; and Isabella and Allie Mabery; and 3 Sisters: Wanda Kennedy of Kentucky, Patsy Moss of Carthage, TN, and Annette Brown of Gainesboro, TN.
