Willard S. Swafford

Funeral services for Mr. Willard S. Swafford, 83, of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, October 17, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M. and Tuesday from 11 A.M. until time of services at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Swafford passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2006, at his residence in Bloomington Springs, Tennessee. He was born December 31, 1922, in Cleveland, TN, to the late Rodolph Swafford & Annie Young Swafford. On February 3, 1947, he was married to Marjie Swafford, who survives. He was a member of the Double Springs Baptist Church and served in the U.S. army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents: Rodolph Swafford & Annie Young Swafford. Survivors include his wife: Marjie Swafford of Bloomington Springs, TN; 2 Sons: Greg and his wife Dana Swafford of Las Vegas, NV, and Robert and his wife Jamie Swafford of Chattanooga, TN; and 2 Daughters: Bobbie and her husband Ben Brackett of Chattanooga, TN, and Karen and her husband David Cross of Cleveland, TN. 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great- Grandchildren also survive.
