Willard Head

Willard Head was born June 10, 1939, in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 83.

He was the son of the late John Quarles Head and May Spivey Head. He was a farmer, and night watchman at the Jackson County Highway Department. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brothers: Edis, Curtis, and Dwane; and Sisters: Ruby Trisdale and Louise Spivey.

Survivors include his Special Family: Paul and Amanda Harris, Rachel, Rebecca, and James Harris all of Gainesboro, TN; Brother: Joe (Beatrice) Head of Gainesboro, TN; Sister: Judy (Joe) McDowell of Granville, TN; Sister-in-law: Faye Head; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 2 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
