William Wayne Thomas was born January 28, 1958, in Jackson County, TN and he passed away in Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the age of 67.
Wayne was the son of James William Thomas and Liddie B. Hensley Thomas. He was a mechanic and logger and loved to hunt, fish, and take care of his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Noel Thomas.
Survivors include his brothers: Richard Thomas and Travis (Jennifer) Thomas both of Gainesboro; sisters: Brenda (Tim) Collins of Gainesboro and Linda (Ben) Crossman of Virginia. Nieces and nephews along with friends also survive.
Visitation will be on Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Travis Thomas and Bro. Eric Collins officiating. Burial will follow in John Young Cemetery.
