Wanda Sue Hix

Wanda Sue Hix was born December 9, 1948 in Jackson County, TN, and she passed away at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN, on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the age of 75.

Wanda was the daughter of Ed Lee Bowman and Erma Lou Meadows Bowman. She worked in the business office of Pacesetters.

Mrs. Hix was preceded in death by her parents.  She was a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ.

Survivors include, her sons: Chris (LaDonna) Hix of Livingston, TN, Steve Hix, Tony Hix, Eric Hix, and Mark Hix all of Gainesboro, TN; daughter, Karen (Tootie) Petty of Gainesboro, TN; father of her children, Bennie Hix; brothers: Kenny (Lisa) Bowman of Madison, TN and Mike Bowman of Cookeville, TN; sister: Angela Bowman of Gainesboro, TN; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, 4 pm to 8 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home and again on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, 10 am to 1 pm. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery.
