Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Carol Carter, 56, of Westmoreland, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, July 20, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 noon - 9 P.M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. . Mrs. Carter passed away on Monday, July 16, 2007, at the Methodist Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born May 17, 1951, in Clay County, TN, to the late Estes Cherry and Mylissa Irene Moore Hatchett. On December 4, 1992, she was married to Edgar Van Carter, who survives. She was a supervisor for 27 years at C & C Sportswear. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Willis Cherry. Survivors include her husband: Edgar Van Carter of Westmoreland, TN; 1 Daughter: Lisa Ann (Danny) Smith of Hendersonville, TN; 1 Grandchild: Ashlin Niedzwiecki; and 5 Brothers: J.L. (Brenda) Cherry, Harold (Tammy) Cherry, and Bobby (Wanda) Cherry, all of Gainesboro, TN; Rickie (Jenny) Cherry of Columbus, IN, and Darrel (Barbara) Cherry of Cookeville, TN. Bro.
