Funeral services for Mr. Walter Ray Mee, 68, of Bloomington Springs, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M. and on Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at his residence. He was born February 25, 1947, in Putnam County, TN, to the late William and Lou Mee. He was married to Shirley Dyer Mee, who survives. He retired from Fleetguard after 38 years of work, and he was a member of the Dodson Branch Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother-in-law: Kenneth Hardy and 1 Son-in-law: Charlie Wester. Survivors include his Wife: Shirley Dyer Mee of Bloomington Springs, TN; 3 Sons: Tony Mee of Cookeville, TN; Shannon Mee and Steven Mee, both of Bloomington Springs, TN; 3 Daughters: Sherry Wester of Cookeville, TN; Teresa (Roger) Pennington of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN; and Michelle (Randy) Hix of Whitleyville, TN; 1 Sister: Janice Hardy of the Dodson Branch community of Jackson County, TN; 1 Uncle: Bill Phillips of Cookeville, TN; 2 Nephews: Jeff (Rhonda) Hardy of the Dodson Branch community of Jackson County, TN; and Jason (Jessica) Hardy of Shelbyville, TN. 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren also survive.
