Walter Nemore

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Robert Nemore, 83, of the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, May 10, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Allentown Cemetery in the New Salem community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 - 9 P.M., and Tuesday from 11 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Nemore passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2005, at his residence. He was born January 27, 1922, in Jackson County to the late Willie Nemore & Mary Scott Nemore. On March 8, 1947, he was married to Versie Brown Nemore, who survives. Mr. Nemore was a factory employee and a furniture maker. He was a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ and the American Legion. Mr. Nemore served in the United States Army during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Joe and Frank Nemore; and 1 Sister: Willmeeno Castle. Survivors include his wife: Versie Brown Nemore of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Robert & Barbara Nemore of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandsons: Donnie Nemore of Gainesboro, TN, and Jay (Rhonda) Nemore of Cookeville, TN; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Haley Nemore and Danielle Meadows; 3 Brothers: Thomas Nemore of Gainesboro, TN, Ed Nemore of Baxter, TN, and Jess Nemore of Albion, Michigan; and 1 Sister: Elizabeth Young of Gainesboro, TN.
