Walter Earl Flynn

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Earl Flynn, 77, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and again on Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at his residence. He was born December 10, 1941, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Walter Fowler Flynn and Sally Ruby Flynn. On August 13, 1960, he was married to Martha Scantland Flynn, who survives. He was the former owner of Country Cabin Market, and a member of the Free State Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Charlie Fowler Flynn and Major Joe Flynn; and 3 Sisters: Wilma Jean Barlow, Nell Bull, and Olene Spivey. Survivors include his Wife: Martha Scantland Flynn of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Gary (Jacquie) Flynn of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Jeannie Lee of Cookeville, TN; and 4 Grandchildren: Jarrett Lee, McKenzie Flynn, Madison Lee, and Alexxis Flynn. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Kenneth Anderson and Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
