Funeral services for Mr. W. G. Burroughs 81, of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, will be h eld at 2 P.M . on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Curry's Chapel Cemetery on Shepardsville Highway in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born December 12, 1932, in Overton County, TN, to the late Willie George Burroughs and Stella Stover Burroughs. On November 22, 1958, he married Reba Katherine Burgess Burroughs. He was an electrician and was a member of the church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Donald Burroughs. Survivors include His Wife: Kathy Burroughs of Bloomington Springs, TN; 1 Son: Roger Burroughs of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Donna and her husband, Randy Jones of Monterey, TN and Penny and her husband, Jerry Dyer of Cookeville, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Andrew and Liza Burroughs, Ryan and Chanse Hopkins, and Dakota and Dillon Dyer; 1 Brother: Thurmond Burroughs of Knoxville, TN; and 3 Sisters: Estelle Thompson, Loudell Dildine, and Betty Webb all of Cookeville, TN.
