Age 86
W.C. Howell was born November 12, 1936 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Livingston Regional Hospital at the age of 86.
He was the son of the late Clester Mell Howell and Wilma D. Minchey Howell. On March 26, 1982, he was married to Moline Howell, who survives. He worked as a custodian at Tennessee Tech University, and was a member of the Whitleyville Church of Christ. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother: Jimmy Richard Howell; Sister-in-Law: Carol Howell; Step Son-in-Law: Mark Carlisle; and Step Grandchildren: Amanda Conway and Michael Rainey.
Survivors include his Wife: Moline Howell of Gainesboro, TN; Step Son: Preacher (Patty) Anderson of Gainesboro, TN; Step Daughter: Marie Carlisle of Red Boiling Springs, TN; Brothers: Wayne (Linda) Howell of Cookeville, TN, Larry (Elizabeth) Howell of Gainesboro, TN, and Bruce (Cathy) Howell of Gainesboro, TN; Sister: Shirley (Robert) Smith of Gainesboro, TN; Step Grandchildren: Melanie Rainey of Gainesboro; Joseph Conway of Missouri; Molly (John) Upchurch of Cookeville; Lee Anderson of Nashville; Marki (Chase) Brown of Cookeville, Amy (Luke) Carty of Cookeville; Morgan (Kevin) Capps of Whitleyville; and McKenzie (Billy) Pippin of Whitleyville; 8 Step Great Grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bro. Brandon Howell, Bro. Jimmy Anderson, and Bro. Mike Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Monday from 11 A.M. until time of services.
