Funeral services for Mr. Vollner Earl Jenkins, 91, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Friday from 8 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. He was born December 6, 1925, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Raymond and Avo Jenkins. He was a steel worker and carpenter. He was a member of the Richmond Chapel Church of Christ. He loved mowing the yard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wives: Aline Stafford Jenkins and Christine Davis Jenkins; 1 Son: Bobby Jenkins; 1 Brother: Bill Jenkins; 2 Sisters: Pauline Kernell and Bonnie Huffines; and 1 Grandson: Jason Brazle. Survivors include 1 Son: Jackie (Darlene) Jenkins of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Betty Jenkins of Gainesboro, TN and Joan (Tim) Canter of Lafayette, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Robert Brazle, Jackie Jenkins, Jr., Dustin Jenkins, and Jessica Canter; and 7 Great-Grandchildren: Jason, Brooklyn, and Sophia Brazle; Gavin and Mallory Jenkins; and Aden and Addison Jenkins. Memorial donations may be made to Center for Courageous Kids or the American Cancer Society by contacting the funeral home. Bro. Sam Mainord will officiate at the service.
