Vivian Smith Stafford

Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian Smith Stafford, 93, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, February 20, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 11 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Stafford passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born July 6, 1915, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Harrison and Ethel Spivey Smith. On March 15, 1941, she was married to the late Houston Stafford, who passed away September 30, 1987. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Dudneys Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sons: Wayne and Sherril Stafford; 1 Daughter: Ann Heady; 1 Brother: James Smith; 1 Great- Granddaughter: Kaitlyn Leigh Garrison; and 1 Son-in-Law: Kenneth Goolsby. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Faye Goolsby of Cookeville, TN; 1 Son-in-Law: Ray Heady of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters-in-Law: Jimmie C. Stafford of Gainesboro, TN, and Linda Hix of Livingston, TN; 11 Grandchildren: Sandra (Michael) Garrison, Angie Roark, Laura Heady, Jeffrey Wayne (Jill) Stafford, David A. "Tony" Goolsby, Lisa Faye Sims, Jeremy Stafford, Jamie Stafford, Brandi Stafford, Cody (Tandi) Stafford, and Candace Stafford; 1 Brother: Jeff (Sallie) Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Lillie (Lloyd) Carwile of Gainesboro, TN; and 21 Great-Grandchildren.
