Vivian "Bib" Thornton

Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian "Bib" Thornton, 95, of Livingston, Tennessee, will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, February 7, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2010, at her niece's residence in Livingston, TN. She was born December 1, 1914, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Jim and Winnie Stafford Poston. She was married to the late R.C. Brown and Lyle Thornton. She was a department store clerk, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Charles, Ladd, Donald, and Buster Poston, and Harold Stafford; 1 Sister: Grace Burnette; and her Special Niece: Rose Marie Roe.
