Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Williamson Montgomery, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home, and on Wednesday the body will lie in state at the church from 12 Noon until time of services. Mrs. Montgomery passed away on Monday, February 26, 2007, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born November 30, 1917, in Jackson County, TN, to the late James Frank and Rebecca Ann Williamson. She was married to the late Martin Draper "Tootie" Montgomery. She was a former teacher at Jackson County High School and graduated from Baxter Seminary and Tennessee Tech. Mrs. Montgomery was a member of the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: D.C. "Pete" Williamson, Cecil Williamson, Jack Williamson, Frank (Bowser) Williamson, and Charlie Williamson; and 5 Sisters: Minnie Ada Holliman, Matt Johnson, Dona Mai Lee, Ruby Cornwell, and Hallie Johnson. Survivors include 2 Sons: Jim Bob and wife Bennie Sue Montgomery, and Frank Martin and wife Terry Montgomery, all of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Cheryl Montgomery, Jimmy (Kelly) Montgomery, Rob (Melissa) Montgomery, and Russ Montgomery; and 2 Great-Grandchildren: Ben Silberman and Will Silberman. Rev. Kathy Bowles and Rev. Steve Vanhooser will officiate at the services.
