Virginia Stafford

Virginia Lois Frizzell Stafford was born April 6, 1937, in Jackson County, TN and she passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the age of 87.

She was the daughter of Charles Hubert Frizzell and Ollie Frances Gipson Frizzell. She was seamstress by trade and a proud member of the Free State Church of Christ. She was a resident of the Free State community.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother: Tom Frizzell and sister: Katherine Jones.

Survivors include her special friend: Paul W. Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; son: Danny R. (Gail) Reece of Chestnut Mound, TN; special niece and caregiver: Rylie Davis of Gainesboro, TN; special friend and caregiver, Kim Silva; sisters: Sue (Melvin) Jared of Gainesboro, TN, Linda (Joe) Lynn of Willette, TN, Ann (Omer) Wylie of Baxter, TN and Thelma Strong of Gainesboro, TN; grandchildren: Keith Mahaney and Kendra (Josh) Angel; great grandchildren: Brent Angel and Isiah Angel.  Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, 4 to 8 pm and Wednesday 10 am to 1 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 1pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Honeycutt and Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in John L Clark Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in her honor to the Free State Church of Christ or to the donor's favorite charity by contacting the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be, Mike Brown, Joey Lynn, Nathan Grough, David Jones, Jacob Brown, Blake Ballard, Harold Heady and Gary Stafford
