Virginia Pruett Pharris

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Pruett Pharris, 86, of Gainesboro and formerly of Livingston, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, December 26, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Pharris passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born September 17, 1923, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Bert and Vina Loftis Pruett. On April 14, 1945, she was married to the late Joe Ridley Pharris, who passed away September 1, 1990. She was a homemaker, a member of the Ladies Bridge Club of Livingston, TN, and a member of the Livingston Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Jessie Louise Denning; and 3 Brothers: Posey Pruett, Jack Pruett, and Henry Pruett. Survivors include 1 Son: Robert "Bobby" (Judy) Pharris of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Suzanne (Garvis) York of Lebanon, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Susan (Grant) Middleton of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Alison (David) Tomlin of Antioch, TN; 1 Great-Grandchild: Macey Brooke Conatser of Antioch, TN; and 1 Sister: Patsy Pruett of Gainesboro, TN. Bro.
