Virginia Nemore

Funeral services for Virginia Nemore, 91, of Baxter, TN, will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at 2 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Sunday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at her residence. She was born November 19, 1929, in Jackson County, TN, to the late William Fowler Goolsby and Cynthia Ann Buck Goolsby. On March 8, 1947, she was married to her husband of 73 years, Ed Nemore, Sr., who survives. She was a homemaker; a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a seamstress, great cook, and host to many. She was a devoted Christian, and a member of the Double Springs Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Lloyd, Leeman Elvis, James Herman, and Omer D. Goolsby; and 1 Sister: Marie Stewart. Survivors include her Husband: Ed Nemore, Sr. of Baxter, TN; 1 Son: Ed Nemore, Jr. of Baxter, TN; 1 Daughter: Diane Allen of Baxter, TN; 2 Brothers: Buddy Goolsby of Gainesboro, TN, and Aaron Goolsby of Sparta, TN; 3 Sisters: Sue Bilbrey of Woodbridge, VA, Jean Long of Gainesboro, TN, and Ida Mai Carter of Whitleyville, TN; 3 Grandsons: Corey Nemore, Aldon and Brandon Allen; and 1 Great Grandson: Conner Lewis Brown. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the family requests that visitors please wear face masks.
