Virginia Johnson Phillips was born July 16, 1937 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville at the age of 87.
She was the daughter of Radford Spivey and Minnie Hix Spivey. She retired from Nielsen Manufacturing Company in Gainesboro and a member of the Church of Christ. She loved her cat "Snow Flake".
Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Bill Comer Johnson who passed away on June 3, 1971, brothers, Tab, Bud, Lee, Earl and Rex Spivey; sisters, Ettoillee Allen and Inez Cassetty.
Survivors include sons, David (Jeanetta) Johnson of Gainesboro, TN and Randy (Lynn) Johnson of Hermitage TN; sisters, Verone (John) Bybee of Gainesboro and Peggy (Sam) Hall of Cookeville; grandchildren, Blake (Cassie) Johnson, Thad (Cristen) Johnson, Shelby Johnson, Chris Johnson and David Vaughn; great grandchildren, Wyatt Johnson, and Taylor Whiting.
Graveside services and internment will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 10 am at Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. No visitation will be at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
