Graveside services for Mrs. Virginia Carol Casteel, 62, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, January 7, 2011, at the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. She passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. She was born March 14, 1948, in Nashville, TN, to the late Eddie Shrum and Romey Katherine Shrum. She was married to the late Tony Casteel. She was a factory worker, and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers and 1 Sister. Survivors include 1 Son: Bobby Simpson of Scottsville, KY; 1 Daughter: Cathy Jo Shrum of Florida; 4 Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Douglas Shrum of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Elizabeth Hurt of Hartsville, TN.
