Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Brown Strong, 74, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery in the Flynns Lick community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born February 8, 1942, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Homer T. Brown and Nola Meadows Brown. She was married to the late Douglas Bruce Strong, who passed away February 1, 2014. She was a grocery and greenhouse business owner, and a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Douglas Bruce Strong; her Infant Daughter: Penny Kay Fox; her Parents: Homer T. and Nola Meadows Brown; 1 Brother: Rod Brown; her Paternal Grandparents: James Thomas and Arizona Haile Brown; and her Maternal Grandparents: Marsh and Mary Susan Brown Meadows. Survivors include 2 Brothers: Phillip (Cathy) Brown and David (Martha) Brown, all of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Sue (Lloyd) Loftis of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister-in-Law: Annette Brown; Special Grandchildren: Katelyn and Mason Brown; Nieces and Nephews: Lanette Brown, Jennifer Lynch, Rodney Brown, Ashley Groves, Candace Brown, and Natalie Downs; and Great Nephews and Nieces: Will Brown, Noah Brown, Emma Brown, Zander Martin, Skylar Martin, Cameron and Kristen Groves, and Grayson Brown.
