Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Ann Brazle Johnson, 84, of Lebanon, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M., and on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Tennova Healthcare in Lebanon, TN. She was born October 12, 1932 in Jackson County, TN, to the late Raymond E. Brazell and Ethel Gentry Brazell. She is survived by her husband, Joe Nathan Johnson, whom she married on June 6, 1951. She was a homemaker and operated a day care out of her home for many years. She was a member of the Berea Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Joe Michael Johnson; 1 Great-Grandson: Lyndon Beckett Porterfield; and 1 Brother: Kenneth Gerald Brazell. Survivors include Her Husband: Joe Nathan Johnson of Lebanon, TN; 1 Son: Bruce M. (Deborah M.) Johnson of Lebanon, TN; 1 Daughter: Teresa Ann Johnson (Barry L.) Burgess of Smyrna, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Hannah Porterfield, Nathan Johnson, LauraBeth Burgess, Parker Burgess, Aaron Johnson, and Gavin Burgess; 3 Great Grandchildren: JayCee Porterfield, Ella Johnson, and Lincoln Porterfield; 1 Brother: Earl Lewis Brazell of Whitleyville, TN; and 3 Sisters: Linda Brazell of Gainesboro, TN; Jane Justice of Madison, TN; and Sue Carr of Knoxville, TN. Bro. Todd Elliott will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berea Church of Christ Building Fund by contacting the funeral home.
