Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Ara Hines, 63, of Whitleyville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at her residence. She was born September 30, 1947, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Cordell Hensley and Roxie Hensley. She was married to Alvis Hines, who survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Cubb Creek Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Wade Hensley; and 1 Sister: Syble Stafford. Survivors include her Husband: Alvis Hines of Whitleyville, TN; 3 Sons: Tim Kernell of Cookeville, TN, Alan Kernell of Whitleyville, TN, and Jason Hines of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: Edd Hensley of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Maggie Jane West of Gainesboro, TN; and 10 Grandchildren.
