Vena Cantrell

Funeral services for Mrs. Vena Cantrell, 73, of the Center Grove community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Sunday, April 24, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Saturday from noon - 9 P.M. and Sunday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mrs. Cantrell passed away on Friday, April 22, 2005, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born February 26, 1932, in Jackson County to the late Troy B. Haney and Lina Mayberry Haney. On April 3, 1951, she was married to Logan Cantrell, who survives. Mrs. Cantrell was a homemaker, and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: K.B. Haney and Troy Haney, Jr.; and 1 Grandchild: Joey Scott Way. Survivors include her husband: Logan Cantrell of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Mike and Geneva Cantrell of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Daughters and 3 Sons- in-Law: Judy Cantrell of Gainesboro, TN; Brenda and Carl Call of Gainesboro, TN; Sandra and Kim Way of Bloomington Springs, TN; and Michelle and Rellon Burris of Gainesboro, TN; 9 Grandchildren: Amy Cantrell, Ambre (Jeremy) Kirby, Ashley Call, Blake Call, Katie Way, Kendra Burris, Dakota Burris, Andrea Burris, and Andrew Burris; 1 Brother: Charles Haney of Gainesboro, TN; and 4 Sisters: Marie Johnson, Cora Loftis, I.V. Byers, & M.B. Ragland, all of Gainesboro, TN Bro. Johnny Fox and Bro. John Mabery will officiate at the services. Pallbearers: Tim Loftis, Steven Loftis, Brent Byers, Kelly Byers, Allen Byers, Jerry Haney, David Ragland, Teddy Ragland, Willie Johnson, Mark Johnson, and Ronnie Haney.
