Vella Haney

Funeral services for Vella Haney, 69, of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN, will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 1 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Okalona Cemetery in Rickman, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at her residence. She was born August 31, 1951, in Rickman, TN. She was the daughter of the late EM Dishman and Bessie L. Dishman. She worked as a seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Clint Dishman and Murl Key; and 1 Sister: Nell Langford. Survivors include 2 Sons: Sherman Haney and Junior Lee Haney, both of Cookeville, TN; and 1 Grandchild: Johnathan Issac Haney of Cookeville, TN. Rev. Tracy Langford will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to assist with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.
