Funeral services for TSgt Ernest Anthony Spurlock, 36, who was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, January 4, 2010, in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was born May 18, 1973, in Panama City, Panama, to Ernest Clay and Amanda Spurlock. He was married to Indira Spurlock, who survives. He had served in the U.S. Air Force for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather: Ernest J. Spurlock; and his Maternal Grandfather: Armando Acosta. Survivors include his Wife: Indira Spurlock of Anchorage, Alaska; 1 Son: Thomas Spurlock of Anchorage, Alaska; 1 Daughter: Ana Isabel Spurlock of Anchorage, Alaska; his Parents: Ernest Clay and Amanda Spurlock of Gainesboro, TN - Panama; his Paternal Grandmother: Virdia M. Spurlock of Gainesboro, TN; his Maternal Grandmother: Rosa Acosta of Panama City, Panama; 1 Brother: Armando Pablo Spurlock of Panama City, Panama; 1 Sister: Amanda Cecile Sanchez of Panama City, Panama; 1 Aunt: Rosita Acosta of Panama City, Panama; 3 Nephews: Gustavo, Javier, and John; and Cousins: Mando and Marielita. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Chaplain Captain Jeffrey McMillen will officiate at the services.
