Toyetta Hensley

Toyetta Hensley was born August 22, 1929 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 93.

She was the daughter of Harlan and Daisey Mae Haney Mitchell.  She was a homemaker and loving mother and a member of the Bloomington Springs Church of Christ.  Mrs. Hensley was a resident of Bloomington Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Lewis Hensley who passed away on May 24, 2009, daughter, Kelly Dawn Hensley, step mother, Avie Mitchell, brothers; Charles and Bobby Mitchell, sisters; Helen Miller, Katherine Stewart, Hattie Carlile, Sally Foster and Judy Mitchell.

Survivors include sons; Daniel Louis Hensley of Cookeville, Donald Wayne Hensley of Bloomington Springs and Barney Keith Lewis Hensley of Cookeville; daughters; Joan Gail Hensley (Logan) Shillinglaw of Franklin, TN and Kimberly Ann Hensley (Chris) Philbrick of Naples, FL; brother, Billy Glenn Mitchell of Bloomington Springs, TN; grandchildren, Blue, Brandy, Candace, Sarah, Logan, Drew and Maddie; great grandchildren, Gracean, Addie, Grayson, Henry, Connor, Millie, Kate and Cameron.  Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 5-8 pm and again on Monday 11 am to 1 pm.  Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 1 pm in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Logan Shillinglaw and Chris Philbrick speaking.  Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery in Putnam County.
