Funeral services for Tony L. Key, 46, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. until 9 P. M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at his residence. He was born July 2, 1964, in Jackson County, TN, to the late George Lee Key and Bonnie Johnson Key. He was a police officer with the Putnam County Sheriff's Department, and a member of the Post Oak Shade Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Margaret Bryant; his Maternal Grandparents: George Spencer and Nancy Ollie Belle Johnson; and his Paternal Grandparents: Elmer D. and Lovie Key. Survivors include his Friend: Lisa Sliger of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Makenzi Key of Arkansas; 1 Brother: Randy Key of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Niece; and 1 Nephew. Bro. Dow Allen will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tony L. Key family by contacting the funeral home.
