Tommy E. Lackey

Funeral services for Mr. Tommy E. Lackey 72, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community in Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 9 P.M. and Wednesday from 12 noon until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. He was born March 31, 1941 in Jackson County, TN, to the late Edd and Myrtle Buck Lackey. On November 25, 1961, he was married to Nancy Carol Long Lackey, who survives. He was a plumber and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: David Harold Lackey; and 4 Sisters: Tennie Mae Ballard, Ernestine Tinsley, Billie Lackey, and Paulette Stafford. Survivors include his Wife: Nancy Lackey of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Lisa (Kenny) Bowman of Loudon, TN and Jennifer (Will) Austin of Whites Creek, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Lindsey (David) Smith, Gabby Bowman, and Dillon Bowman; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Rory Smith and Easton Smith; 3 Brothers: Terry Lackey, Pete Lackey, and Joey Lackey, all of Paris, TN; 3 Sisters: Thelma Dean Key and Jo Helen Heady, both of Gainesboro, TN and Gayla Greer of Paris, TN and 1 Sister-in-law: Janice Allison of Cookeville, TN. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lackey family by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
