Funeral services for Mrs. Tommie Joy Bowman, 73, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon - 9 P. M., and Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010, at her residence. She was born August 19, 1936, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Cordell "Pete" Hall and Dorothy "Bryanie" Roberts Hall. In September of 1957, she was married to Jimmy R. Bowman, who survives. She was a factory secretary, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Grandson: Trent Norton; and 1 Son-in-Law: Tom Norton. Survivors include her Husband: Jimmy R. Bowman of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Sons: Terry (Sandra) Bowman of Gainesboro, TN, Tim (Lisa) Bowman of Gainesboro, TN, and Todd (Tammy) Bowman of Baxter, TN; 1 Daughter: Teena (Scott) Ortlepp of Gainesboro, TN; 13 Grandchildren: Terra (Michael) Long, Tandi (Cody) Stafford, Ty (Amanda) Bowman, Talica Bowman, Theodore Bowman, Alyssa (Aaron) McBay, Emily Bowman, Travis (Brooke) Bowman, Tyler Bowman, Tayton Bowman, Taylor Norton, Kimberly Norton, and Trace Ortlepp; and 7 Great Grandchildren: Paige Long, Colby Long, Harley Stafford, Hayden Stafford, Bryson Bowman, Abby Bowman, and Toby Bowman.
