Funeral services for Mr. Thurman Harold Martin, 66, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Clinton Grove Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born May 24, 1944, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Thurman Lee Martin and Avon Cleo Martin. He was a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Tania Ballard; 1 Brother: Roger Martin; and 2 Sisters: Nell Hopkins and Bessie Emmitt. Survivors include 1 Son: Shawn (Tracey) Martin of Warren, MI; 2 Step-Sons: Marlon Smith and Steve Smith both of Roseville, MI; 2 Step-Daughters: Londa Gatt of Rochester Hills, MI, and Tammy Smith of Warren, MI; 8 Grandchildren: Shayna, Ashlyn, Taria, Dylan, Brooke, Myranda, Austin, and Shawn; 1 Great Grandchild: Aden; 3 Brothers: Billy Martin of Bloomington Springs, TN; Danny Martin and Wayne Martin both of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Wava Allen of Gainesboro, TN.
