Funeral services for Mr. Thurman Franklin Lawson, Jr., 43, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lawson Family Cemetery in the Big Bottom community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Thursday from 9 A.M until time of services. Mr. Lawson passed away on Monday, February 18, 2008, at his residence. He was born February 2, 1965, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to Lorene Lawson and the late Thurman F. Lawson. On June 24, 1995, he was married to Tracey Lawson, who survives. He was a factory worker at New England Classics in Gainesboro, TN, and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Leslie and Johnnie Netherton; and his paternal grandparents: Jay and Samantha Lawson. Survivors include his wife: Tracey Lawson of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Sons: Justin Loftis, Tyler Loftis, and Jay Lawson, all of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Ashley Lawson and Destaney Lawson, both of Gainesboro, TN; his mother: Lorene Lawson of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters: Betty Buck and Elizabeth Marling, both of Gainesboro, TN.
