Thurman F. Lawson

Funeral services for Mr. Thurman F. Lawson, 68, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, July 29, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lawson Family Cemetery in the Big Bottom community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 P.M. - 10 P. M., Friday from 9 A.M. - 10 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Lawson passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was born April 2, 1938, in Jackson County to the late Jay and Samantha Heady Lawson. On August 3, 1959, he was married to Lorene Lawson, who survives. Mr. Lawson was a factory worker at Crotty and a member of the Lakeview Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Sisters: Elizabeth Lawson, Thelma Hawkins, and Louise Brown; and 2 Brothers: Perry Lawson and Jona Lawson. Survivors include his wife: Lorene Lawson of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Thurman Lawson, Jr. & Tracey Lawson of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters and 1 Son-in- Law: Betty Buck and Elizabeth & Eric Marling, all of Gainesboro, TN; 10 Grandchildren: Anthony (Amanda) Buck, Misty Buck, Ashley and Jay Lawson, Justin and Tyler Loftis, Tallen Donahue, Destaney Lawson, and MaKenzie Marling, all of Gainesboro, TN, and Riley Sparrow of Indiana; and 1 Great- Grandchild: Brady Leland Buck of Gainesboro, TN.
