Thomas Owen Barlow

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Owen Barlow, 79, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Turkeytown Cemetery in Clay County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013, at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born January 4, 1934, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Charlie Owen Barlow and Dimple Phipps Barlow. On August 16, 1963, he was married to Loure O. Barlow, who survives. He was a farmer and a mechanic, and a member of the Old Antioch Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie Owen Barlow and Dimple Phelps Barlow; 1 Granddaughter: Stephanie Michelle Gruel; 2 Sisters: Beatrice Barlow and Rue Allen; and 1 Brother-in-law: Claude Dailey. Survivors include his Wife: Loure Goolsby Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Charlie Dwain Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Susan Elaine Barlow Gruel of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandsons: Christopher Thomas Barlow, Matthew Dylan Barlow, and Nicholas Alexander Gruel; 1 Sister: Juanita Dailey of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Brother-in-law: Loyd Allen of Gainesboro, TN.
