Therold Lee Richardson

Funeral services for Mr. Therold Lee Richardson, 85, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 P.M. - 9 P. M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born August 28, 1924, in Jackson County, TN, to the late James M. and Lora Carver Richardson. On July 19, 1949, he was married to Jean Richardson, who survives. He worked in insurance and real estate, and was a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Lion's Club, and an organizer of the Little Opry. He was also a former mayor of the town of Gainesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Robert E. Richardson and James F. Richardson; and 1 Sister: Mary Jean Holloway. Survivors include his Wife: Jean Richardson of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Lee (Nancy) Richardson of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Grandsons: Elliot Richardson of Birmingham, AL, and Graham Richardson of Gainesboro, TN. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or the donor's charity of choice by contacting the funeral home.
