Thelma Marie Petty

Thelma Marie Petty was born April 9, 1933, in Gainesboro, TN and she passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at NHC Healthcare in Cookeville, TN, at the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late Lee Boyd Flatt and Eula May Flatt. She was a housewife. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband: Willis Petty; Husband: Richmond Flournoy; Husband: Bobby Brown; Step Son: Earnest Petty; and Brothers: Dell Huston Flatt, William Bethel Flatt, Erman Cee Flatt, and Clarence Flatt. Survivors include Sons: Robert Flournoy of Crossville, TN, Rickey Flournoy of Gainesboro, TN, Bobby Brown of Granville, TN, and Eddie Brown of Lafayette, TN; Step Sons: Mike Brown of Cookeville, TN, and Paul Petty of Carthage, TN; Daughters: Bessie Stephenson of Cookeville, TN, Debra Moore of Granville, TN, and Ann Huepenbecker of Michigan; Step Daughter: Shirley Brown Scott of Gainesboro, TN; and Brother: Herman Dee Flatt of Lebanon, TN. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 1 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Isaac Flatt Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services.
