Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma H. Pigg, 86, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pigg Cemetery in Jackson County. The family will receive friends at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home from noon until time of services on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. She passed away on Friday, October, 12, 2012 at The Oaks of West Kettering. She was the daughter of the late William Vanderbilt and Lula Hooten. She was married to the late Edgar J. Pigg, who passed away May 5, 1999. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sons: James Elmer Pigg and Joe Lee Pigg; 4 Brothers: Oval, Ted, Joe, and Elmer Hooten; and 1 Sister: Maggie Jones. Survivors include 1 Son: Doyle (Elaine) Pigg; 1 Daughter: Shirley (Mike) Strange; 2 Granddaughters: Maggie Ann (Tom) Kummer and Donna Gene (David Fitterer) Pigg; 1 Great-Granddaughter: Gracie Ann Fitterer and 2 Great-Grandsons: Nathan David Fitterer and Alexander Martin Kummer.
