Thelma Dean Jones

Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Dean Jones, 66, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, October 26, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., Thursday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born March 23, 1946, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Joe Polk Pippin and Ora D. Williams Pippin. On January 4, 1986, she was married to Herman "Booger" Jones, who survives. She was a factory worker, and a member of the New Salem Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Joe "Pokey" Pippin, Donny Lee Pippin, and James Luther Pippin; an Infant Sister; and 1 Grandson: Noel Lee. Survivors include her Husband: Herman "Booger" Jones of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Christina Burgess of Bloomington Springs, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Eric Jones, Ethan Burgess, and Elijah Burgess; 1 Step-Son: John Wayne Jones of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: Roger Dale Pippin; and 1 Sister: Linda Faye Hix.
