Thelma D. Key

Thelma D. Key was born March 12, 1935 in Gainesboro, TN and she passed away on Friday February 18, 2022 at Livingston Regional Hospital at the age of 86. She was the daughter of Edd and Myrtle Buck Lackey. She was a former employee of Heavy Duty Manufacturing and one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Rhonda Lynn Ragland and Sandra Gaye Marks, brothers, Tom and David Lackey; sisters, Ernestine Tinsley, Tennie Mae Ballard, Jo Helen Heady, Billie Lackey and Paulette Stafford and step brother, Terry Lackey. Survivors include her son, Jeff Emerton of Gainesboro, step-brothers, Pete Lackey and Joey Lackey both of TN and step-sister, Galia (Sissy) Lackey Greer of TN; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive along with other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 24, 2022 11 am to 2 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
